One of my fondest memories with my uncle Michael

If you were to ask me what was one of my fondest memories with my uncle Michael, the first answer that would come to my mind would be, "Huis Ten Bosch" What is Huis Ten Bosch. The Huis Ten Bosch I am talking about is a Dutch Village theme park in Nagasaki, Japan.

The quick story is.... my brothers and I were visiting my uncle Michael in Japan. All of us were invited to visit the theme park Huis Ten Bosch . I won't go into too many details because most of these memories are very special to me and I hold them close to my heart. However what I can tell you is that the four of us never laughed so hard....period..We were all just acting silly and making each other laugh that day. For years afterwards we still talked about that trip. Matter of fact, whenever my uncle need some cheering up, all we had to do was mention Huis Ten Bosch and he would laugh again. That's one of the things I will miss most about my uncle. Making him laugh or smile. He had a great laugh. A laugh that would make you laugh back. That trip was purely a magical one and I will never forget it.

There´s a lot of videos on youtube just with Michael´s laugh. Everyone love his laugh and his smile.
When I was in my 11 i used to call him "Uncle Doo Doo" (´cause 3T, u know) and all I knew was if someday he could heard about that he´d laugh.

(Sorry for my english, I´m Brazilian)

Love...

That's wonder you can look back on memories like this one and laugh. Those kinda of thoughts and feelings stay with you for a life time not matter what happens. i'm sure each little event with Michael brings happy memories for you, even to the point of tears. i'll never forget the first time I saw him and the first time I looked at him more then just a celebrity; but a man with an unbelievable heart.

"Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead."
--Louisa May Alcott

and one of my favorites...

"Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth."

Take care :) Collegepsycho on Twitter

Thank you Taj for continually sharing a side of your uncle that publicly was rarely seen. I believe it functions to humanize him and hopefully make judgmental people think twice before they continue to cast their stones. For those of us who paid attention to the message of his songs, could easily feel where his heart was always at, which is why such intimate testimonies by his true loved ones warms my heart as well as cement the loving perceptions, I have of a man I never met.

Bless you.

In my readings it has been said that you, Taj, are the shyest of your brothers. Hmm. And yet you are the most accessible, the most willing to share - and you just got to know you hold not just Michael's fans' attentions and course 3Ts, but admirers of the Jacksons in general. You are a spokesperson of sorts and you certainly do your family proud.

Thanks for generously sharing your stories and thanks for keeping the dearest ones close to your heart, that's where they should remain. They are yours alone to cherish.

Congrats on the top spot with Code Z - I admire your persistence in seeking, creating and achieving success (with a little help from your uncle, wink) - Bravo!

Thank you Taj for sharing these memories with us. Though I didn't know Michael perosnally, it is so clear to see that his character was even brighter than his incredible talent. <3 Much love to you and your family!

God blessed you guys with a wonderful uncle. I wish I had someone like that in my family. What a wonderful and giving human being. He will always be missed. The greatest humanitarian and entertainer of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hee hee!

Great story, Taj. I, too, loved your uncle's laugh. It always broke my heart to see him so somber & in pain during the 60 minutes interview & during the trial. I just know he turned to the young people in his life to make him smile again. I'm so glad you guys were close to him (despite what's been said in the media, one would think there was constant infighting amongst the Jacksons to read some of the bull that's out there). I had a special uncle, too, whom I miss every day.

Taj,
This post was so nice; I love being able to follow you and read your stuff because it allows us all to feel closer to you, the family, and Michael. We all know how much Michael loved to smile and laugh, and I'm sure he loved the fact that you could provide that for him. You were so special to him, I'm sure, and I think you're really brave and sweet for letting us all into your little world with your uncle. It helps us remember that at the end of the day, he was more than just 'Michael Jackson' to you and to the world. Thanks. <3
